Description/Abstract: Film Talk: Anatomy of a Snow Day, Monday, 2/13, 3-5pm

Anatomy of a Snowy Day is a 40 minute, award winning documentary film by 12 year old Zachary Maxwell that explores what happens when a New York City school remains open during a major winter storm. Zachary pursues the city government to understand how weather related emergencies influence school closings, offering "a lighthearted and inspiring tale for young people about intellectual curiosity, questioning authority, and the value of civic awareness" (DOC NYC).

On the anniversary of the storm that occurred on February 13-14, 2014 and left as much as 20 inches of snow in Southeastern New York, this screening will be followed by light discussion and, weather permitting, play in the Russell courtyard (bring your mittens, and a carrot, or two).

Please rsvp with your interest no later than Friday, February 10th.
