# Lu Wang Strings

Lu Wang Strings is a newly born group consisting of two violinists and one cellist. Inspired by a shared passion for classical music, the three musicians, with their enriching music experience and competitive music talents, came together to form this culturally diverse string group. All members are experienced in playing chamber music as part of duets, trios, quartets, and quintets.

Diane Moon started playing cello at the age of nine and has been highly active in music since that time. Through high school, she played in a variety of music groups, including school, youth, and honor orchestras, as well as many chamber ensembles. Diane has dual bachelor's degrees in biology and music from Case Western Reserve University, where she was a member of the orchestra, choir, musical theater organization, and chamber music program. She is currently studying science education at TC.

Valentina Mocchetti began playing the violin at the age of ten and has continued to be involved in music since then. In high school, Valentina was a member of her school orchestra, one of the top in the state of Maryland, as well as a philharmonic youth orchestra. She graduated in May 2010 from Georgetown University with a major in Biology and a minor in Linguistics. At Georgetown, she was part of the Chamber Music Ensembles Program for four years and gained experience playing in a wide variety of chamber music groups and performing an array of music from the baroque period to the 20th century. She is currently studying Speech-language Pathology at TC.

Lu Wang started playing the violin at the age of five. During her teenagehood, Lu participated in a national violin contest and won the national fourth and regional first. She made her debut by playing Haydn Violin Concerto No. 1 in C Major at the age of 14. Lu was an orchestra member in college, and performed in various music events as a solo player or as part of the orchestra. Her favorite music pieces are mostly from classical period. She is currently studying Comparative and International Education at TC.
