Description/Abstract: Sonia Szajnberg is a vocalist and composer who leads her own ensembles throughout the New York City area. She received the 2011 ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award and participated in the 2009 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Residency. Sonia holds a masters degree in jazz performance from the Manhattan School of Music and is a music instructor at Teachers College. Sonia's independently released album, Simple Talk, features a collection of her favorite songs and original compositions. |
