Gottesman Libraries' Education ProgramThe Gottesman Libraries' Education Program began in September 2005 and grew largely in response to the call to develop the library as an intellectual gathering place in a newly renovated building for members of the Teachers College community. Its goal is to inform students, faculty and staff about the latest thinking in education, in ways that engage members of the community with one another and with a broad range of educational experts. The program also provides understanding of work being done throughout the college. This pocket contains images and other information about the extensive offerings in the Gottesman Libraries' Education program, including Socratic conversations, book talks, films, news displays, lectures, focus groups, the University Seminar on Innovation in Education, and other intellectual and cultural events. Be sure to read Education Program Reflections on our blog, Learning at the Library. Join us on Facebook and Twitter so that you can stay current and share your ideas.
