Eugenia K. Spalding (1896-1978) was a leading mid-twentieth century figure in nursing education, who played a major role in the education of nursing faculty and in the appraisal and improvement of nursing education programs.
Among her accomplishments of lectures, addresses, and published works, she contributed to the United States Public Health Service. Her tenure at Teachers College, Columbia University defines the current Nursing program.
