[picture]Victor D'Amico
Victor D'Amico was an art educator in Post-WWII America. He offered a new outlook on art education, creating art education programs and innovative learning environments for children, parents and children, high school students, and war veterans.

D'Amico taught classes at Teachers College through the 1930's and was the founding Director of the Education Department at the Museum of Modern Art from 1937 until 1970. He believed, "that arts are a humanizing force and that their major function is to vitalize living."

The papers of Victor D'Amico include correspondence, publications, photographs, slides, films, scrapbooks, architectural plans, research and instructional notes, and related materials.
