Amherst Project The Amherst Project Records document one extensive effort to implement some of the ideas of the social studies movement. In the period 1962 to 1970, the Amherst project brought together college professors and secondary school teachers in a program to develop and test a full series of curriculum units based on the inquiry model of learning. The very full documentation provides a resource for consideration of the goals, methods, successes, and limitations, of an important aspect of educational reform. The collection includes the curriculum units, teachers’ evaluation logs, and other material. Created By: Jennifer Govan
