Florence Nightingale, (May 12, 1820 – August 13, 1910), was a pioneer of modern nursing and a noted humanitarian.
The following pockets represent a collection of correspondence and documentation that Florence Nightingale either wrote during the period of 1827 – 1907, or that was written about her and her work. The collection also provides a “calendar of letters” of microfiche that documents her life, work and research activities beginning from the age of seven until her death.
