Biographical information:
Mikki Shaw is an assistant professor and a coordinator of the student teaching program in English Education. Mikki's diverse experience in teaching secondary school - on both the east and west coast, in traditional and alternative schools, in the suburbs as well as the inner city - has reinforced a real commitment to public education and to students at risk. Current research interests include working with teachers to develop realistic learning opportunities that enable - and interest - teachers in keeping current with research and theory, and with reexamining their own classroom practices.
