Mary A. White Collection Mary Alice White joined Teachers College as a Professor of Psychology and Education in 1962. From 1972-1977 she became the Director for the Center for Behavioral Analysis of School Learning. From 1974 until her retirement in 1990, she was both Director of the Learning Assessment Service and Director of the Laboratory for the Psychological Study of Telecommunication. Professor White was one of the nation's leading psychologists to investigate the ways in which technology-including computers and television-change the way children learn.
